Two Day Itinerary

EXAMPLE TWO DAY ITINERARY

Day 1:

The ultimate helicopter flight through the most vast glacier fields NZ has on offer, along with some of our highest peaks. Get up close and personal with the Southern Alps including a glacier landing and a flight through valleys that very few will ever get to experience. Land at the perfect alpine location and enjoy a huge feast of wild NZ foods like venison, crayfish and whitebait. From here fly to a very remote backcountry private hut in the Lindis Pass area. The views from the place are absolutely spectacular with options for short walks from the hut along adjacent ridge lines or a bit of clay bird shooting.

Day 2:

Helicopter ride from overnight lodge to Jet Boating Experience. A jet boat journey into the Mt Aspiring National Park via the Matukituki River. This journey will go through some of the most spectacular alpine vistas and into the heart of the parks wilderness area. Then take a 50 min guided walk into our native forests to view a pristine local glacier.

Four Day Itinerary

EXAMPLE FOUR DAY ITINERARY

Day 1:

Jet Boating Experience. A jet boat journey into the Mt Aspiring National Park via the Matukituki River. This journey will go through some of the most spectacular alpine vistas and into the heart of the parks wilderness area. Then take a 50 min guided walk into our native forests to view a pristine local glacier.

Day 2:

Heli fishing trip to the remote West Coast. Fly fishing/spin fishing in some of New Zealand’s most prestigious and pristine rivers using the helicopter to gain remote access. The scenic flight across the Southern Alps is beyond doubt one of the most spectacular flights you will ever witness. Some of our largest glaciers and highest peaks are amongst just a few incredible sights you will view from above. Enjoy a gourmet picnic on a remote mountain top or coastal beach, then head to Wild Earth Lodge where you can choose to relax whilst soaking in the mountain views or try your hand at shooting clay pigeon out front of the lodge.

Day 3:

Hunters can head off in the chopper to hunt a red deer on a local high country station. The rest of the group head out to fly fish/spin fish a local West Coast river accessing by truck. Dinner back in Wanaka township at Kika restaurant. Tapas-style piccolo dishes, that are fun and seasonal; grande-sized sharing main courses, complimented by an array of contorni side dishes, topped off by home-made gelatos and sorbets.

Day 4:

Fiordland Saltwater Fishing Experience. Taking off in the helicopters from Wanaka Airport fly Southwest towards Fiordland the most remote corner of New Zealand. Landing on the charter boat spend the day fishing for deep sea species and diving in the Fiords for New Zealand Lobster. Return helicopter flight back to Wanaka.

 

Breakfast, lunch and dinner supplied everyday. All meals with The New Zealand Adventure Company are prepared from locally sourced produce and wild NZ game caught by your guides. All meals are three course and include locally produced wine and beer.
